5/03/07 - I received the following comment from a viewer via LinkReferral: "An interesting concept - a begging web site!! At least you're honest about it (or are you?) - so many people are offering get-rich-quick scams in order to make money. I wish you success, but I already work hard for local charities. Two teensy-weensy suggestions - your begging letter text is too long, and the letter itself is way, way too long.."

This was my response: "Thank you for your feedback. I have not done this before and I am certain I will not do it again. I will have someone else look at it and help me to shorten it a bit. I am a teacher by trade so I tend to over explain things to make sure my message is clear. I assure you that what is stated on my web page is 100% factual. If I had another alternative I would use it, so to answer your question, yes I am being honest. I don't want to get rich from this; I am simply looking for some help in an un-creative way so to speak. I truly appreciate your comments and understand your questioning my creditability. I apologize for my long response."

5/2/07 - I would like to thank the person who originally, by accident, gave me this warning. I don't know what site I saw it on while I was doing my research on how to get more hits on my site but thank you. This is a warning to individuals who are in situations which require them to ask for money via the internet. Do not accept checks or money orders! I almost cashed a check from a company that had its identity stolen. I am quite certain had I cashed the check without thinking twice, I would be in trouble with the police. I am very angry that there are individuals out there that would do this to people who are in need. I have enough on my plate as it is, so to add on the possibility of going to jail and/or having to clear my name is WRONG. Shame on you!

Here is the break down of what this individual did. They sent me an email saying they did not want to put their information on Pay Pal so they wanted to send me a check. I gave them my mailing address and a few days later they sent me a check. The check was from a company in CA so that raised some red flags. The person sent it to me from Wall Street NY, NY. The name on the envelope had nothing to do with the company listed on the check. Inside the envelope there was a note advising to wait for instructions. Yet another red flag for me. I received an email stating they were not in good health asking me to help them correct their mistake. They stated they only intended to send 1100 to me but the check was created with a much larger amount in error, 2750. They wanted me to send the balance of the money via Western Union to the person it was intended for. I said okay it would be done (wink, wink). I love to research things so when I looked up the individual I would be send the money to, I found a wealth of information. This person just so happened to be in NY. I realized that this was more than likely fraud. THE CHECK WAS NEVER DEPOSITED INTO MY ACCOUNT. So, to the individual who tried to pull a mother who is truly having a hard time in to your scheme, you should really think about who you are talking to before assuming I am unintellighent (misspelled on purpose). I may be in an awful place right now but I am not going to do the wrong thing and be separated from my children.

5/01/07 - Well talk about adding fuel to a fire, I just found out today, the health insurance provider I have will not pay the therapist I had to get for my abused child. Yet another day I cried. Now the three months of work and progress will have to start all over. I really suck as a parent. It's all hopeless. If one more thing happens I will concede defeat. I think its time for me to use my company's EAP program. The weight is too much. There is a bit of optimism in the coming weeks. I will let you know if I get the part-time job...
